We have just done the 7 day Manu National Park Tour with Amazon Trails Peru (amazontrailsperu.net) in November 2012. The tour for us was easily one of our favourite experiences during 6 months in Latin America. I chose the tour company after some internet research, and thought it wise to choose someone who was local and who had many years of experience doing Manu wildlife tours. Abraham, the company owner, grew up in the jungle and has had about 25 years of experience guiding in Manu. For my girlfriend, father and me, the tour exceeded our expectations.
We did the 7d/6n Reserved Zone Tour in May 2013 and it was the highlight of our trip to South America. The whole crew did a great job, everything was organized perfectly. We were especially astonished how Jorge cooked such delicious meals in the middle of the jungle. Thank you again, Saturnino for getting to know the rainforest and for your great knowledge, so we could not only learn a lot but also appreciate the environment. We saw so many animals - even the jaguar. Especially the ability of Saturnino to spot all the animals – even if it were just two dark eyes far away in the water- was fascinating and also the ability to imitate the birds´voices was amazing to us. In addition to all his wide knowledge, explanations and answering questions it was really fun with Saturnino because he is simply a great guy who even managed to stick the group together.
I went to 4 days Amazon/Manu-park tour in July 2010 with guide Abraham Leon. And I have to say among all the guides a had in different tours in Peru he was absolutely the best. His knowledge about the flora and fauna in the jungle was stunning and in the evenings his stories about the local myths were very interesting and entertaining as well. In addition he was a very responsible and trustworthy guide and he took a very good care each of us during the tour. I can strongly recommend the tours.Mirka, Finland
